Meeting of Regional Chapters

A meeting of the Conveners of Regional Chapters of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences was organized on 3^rd June 2022. Dr. M.L. Madan, who recently received Padmashri, was felicitated by the President of the Academy. The President, in his opening remarks suggested that the Regional Chapters should bring more visibility of the Academy in respective regions. They also adopt government schools, especially in rural areas to cover nutrition literacy among should children; and inspire them to opt agriculture as their profession.

Majority of the chapters adopted schools for nutrition literacy and explored career opportunities. The Chapters organized lectures and webinars in topical areas of regional importance and invited distinguished personalities from India and abroad.
