Associate Professor, Botany, Hindu College, Delhi University; Leader, Plant Resistance Group, ICGEB, 1989-2006; Rockefeller Foundation Career Fellowship, 1994-96.

Awards/Honours: Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Award for the Triennium, 1996-98.

Fellow: Indian National Science Academy.
