Born in Mathura, U.P. On 4 August 1965. Educated at St. Maria convent Mhow, M.P, KR College, Mathura, Agra College, Agra and ICAR-IVRI, Izatnagar, Ph.D. 1990, Visiting Scientist and FAO Fellow at Reproductive Biotechnology Laboratory, University of Louisiana, Baton Rouge, USA 1999.
Principal Scientist and Head cum Director CAFT in Veterinary Physiology, ICAR-IVRI, Izatnagar 2009 to date.
Research Scientist, Centre for Biotechnology, National Dairy Development Board, Bombay, till December, 1991; Scientist, ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Goats, Makhdoom and ICAR- Indian Veterinary Research Institute till November 2000; Senior Scientist and Principal Scientist, August, 2009.
Awards/Honours: Young scientist's award and young scientist gold medal from Society of Animal Physiologists of India 1993; Young scientists Merit certificate from Indian Science Congress Association 1994; Prof. Nils Lagerlof Memorial Award from Indian Society for the Study of Animal Reproduction, 2001; IVRI Award of honor, 2002; WEAL award ISIWCD during the World Women Summit held at India International, New Delhi, 2003; ICAR-Panjab RaoDeshmukh Women Agricultural Scientist Award, 2004; Award of honor from Governor of U.P for successfully treating canine clinical cases through stem cell therapy, 2011; Best teacher award from IVRI Deemed University, 2011; Dr. A.
