Native of Village and Post Fatehpur, Via Karhan, District MaunathBhanjan, Uttar Pradesh, born on 10 July 1977. Educate at UdaiPratap Autonomous College (Purvanchal University), B.Sc. 1997, M.Sc. (Environmental Science) in 1999 from Lucknow University, M.Phil. (Energy and Environment) in 2002 from School of Energy and Environmental Studies (SEES), Devi Ahilya University, Indore and Ph.D. (2008) from Botany Department, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India.

Awards/Honours: HadiahSanjungan Award 2010 (Journal Publication Category), UniversitiSains Malaysia, Penang, Malaysia. Green Talent - 2011 given by Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), Germany on 16th December at Berlin, Germany. Prosper.Net Scopus Young Scientist award-2012, 1st Runner Up in area of Sustainable Consumption and Production- Award is jointly given by Prosper.Net (United Nations), Humboldt foundation Germany, Scopus and Elsevier. Young Scientist Award, Science & Engineering Research Board, Govt. of India, (2012-2015). Water Advanced Research and Innovation (WARI) Fellowship. The program is supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India, the Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF), University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) and the Daugherty Water for Food Institute (DWFI), 2016-17. Dr Singh has also been awarded with Prof Archana Sharma Memorial Award 2020-2023 by ISCA, Kolkata at 108th Indian Science Congress, Nagpur on 7th January, 2023. Recently, Dr. Singh has been awarded with Prof. C. N. R. Rao Award (2020-21)for Excellence in Scientific Research by Banaras Hindu University.
