Educated at Govt Senior Secondary School Thunag Mandi Himachal Pradesh upto 1989; CCS University Meerut, 1989-1996; CSK Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya, Palampur, 1997-2000; Doctor of Science, Himachal Pradesh University Shimla, 2021.

Principal Scientist and Officer In-Charge, ICAR-National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources Regional Station Shimla, 2015 to date.

Assistant Professor (Genetics and Plant Breeding) from 2001-09, Dr YSP University of Horticulture and Forestry, Solan Himachal Pradesh; Senior Scientist 2009-2015, ICAR-National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources, New Delhi.
