XV Agricultural Science Congress

XV Agricultural Science Congress is being organized by National Academy of Agricultural Sciences at Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi from 13-16 November 2021.

The theme of the congress is “Energy and Agriculture: Challenges in 21st Century”. The congress aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of Energy and Agriculture.

Energy has always been an intricate part of food production. It directly uses energy in form of fuels and electricity and indirectly as fertilizers and chemicals. With increasing demand of food and degrading environmental condition, it is imperative that we reduce energy consumption and increase renewable energy generation at farm level.

The researchers need to highlight issues like land and water management, agricultural machinery, economics of irrigation, energy of agricultural products, precision farming, renewable energy and agriculture, energy analysis and alternative sources of energy to provide a interdisciplinary interaction for better energy productivity and efficiency in agriculture.

The resultant policy formulation, research initiatives and development will lead to help enhance productivity, income, sustainability, environmental conservation, employment and livelihood security.

The academy heartily welcomes the delegates to attend the Congress at Varanasi, the city which is one of the oldest cities of the world, situated at the banks of river Ganges. The spiritual capital of India welcomes you to the capital of knowledge - Banaras Hindu University.
