Born in Coimbatore District, Tamil Nadu on 10th May 1973. Educated at Anna University, B.Tech. 1994, & M.Tech. 1996 and Loughborough University, UK, Ph.D. 2008.

Director, National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM) - Thanjavur, (an Institute of National Importance; formerly Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology - IIFPT), 2016 to date.
